DRILL
Tools and knowledge for the perfect drill hole
Drilling is one of the most common tasks in and around the house. In addition to the correct drilling angle and knowledge of existing power and water lines, the selection of the drill and drill bit are of great importance. However, the use of the right drill bit is primarily decisive for good drilling results. Many drill bits differ not only in their design. Different shank shapes and special alloys determine the right use. If concrete, masonry, granite or finer material such as tiles have to be drilled through, then you can and should fall back on the all-round talent "SDS drill". The SDS drill can not only drill through a wide variety of materials but also offers a remedy for special cases.
SDS stands for a special drill shaft system, for percussive and rotary drills and rotary hammers. With this insertion system, the drill shaft is provided with special grooves that ensure better power transmission. In contrast to other plug-in systems, the SDS drill shaft enables a tool-free and quick change of drill bits.
Thanks to high-quality carbide with a full-metal hard head with 4 cutting edges, high-quality SDS-Plus drills, such as those from CHEMOFAST, ensure perfectly symmetrical drilling. The drill bit with double spiral design guarantees fast drilling progress & efficient drill dust removal. Vibrations during drilling are thereby reduced to a minimum, ensuring effective and safe drilling.
For accurate drilling, you should mark the drill hole with a pencil before drilling. For tiles, it is recommended to "mark" the drill hole to prevent the drill from slipping. Next, mark the drill hole depth (e.g. with tape on the drill bit) and drill the hole at right angles to the wall from a safe position. To ensure that the load-bearing capacity of the anchor is not impaired, the drill hole must be free of dust. We therefore strongly recommend cleaning with a vacuum cleaner or brush!
