LEED
LEED = Leadership in Energy and Enviromental Design
The rating system developed by the U.S Green Building Council (USGCB) for the certification of sustainably designed buildings has become one of the world's most important building classification systems since 1998.
LEED certificates are not issued directly for building products, but corresponding LEED declarations of conformity can be purchased. In the declaration, an assessment is made with regard to content and emitted limit values for volatile organic compounds and aldehydes.
The limits are based on the Department of Public Health (CDPH) Standard Method and South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Regulation 1168.
